How Many Yeti's?

How Many Yeti's? is a 4 player 2D platformer racing game where 4 yeti's are racing to get the meat at the end, this game was inspired by the likes of speedrunners and was created in 2 days as apart of a game jam project which took place at the University of Huddersfield.

There was 11 teams and when we finished up and presented we came second place.

For this project My Main responsibilities where first and formost level art and also a little bit of level design using Unity 5.

As shown above is example of one of the levels I designed for the game, as it was to act as a tutorial level for the game so the idea was to keep gameplay simplistic for players trying out the game for the first time.

These are some of the sprites I made for the game, as there was a short time span associated with the project, we decided as a team to keep the asethetic as simplistic as possible and to focus on gameplay as we all had a hand in working on gameplay elements, originally these where apart of a sprite sheet which where made to ensure the right sizes for when placing into the level but where later seperated so prefabs could be created.

I finally Created some Backgrounds using a quick array of gradiants with photoshop which would represent not only the northern lights but also winter environments that the game is set in, thinking about the colour values for winter environments I decided to go with light blues, greens and grey's for the background gradiants as other members of the team where focused on making clouds and mountains which would be placed within the background.

This would ensure every level would have different backgrounds.

If you would like to try out our game you can download the game from the image above.

As it is a winrar folder make sure you have winrar installed and as long as you extract the data and .exe to desktop you'll be ready to go, its also advised that you have a few friends around when trying the game out as it is designed for 2-4 players in mind and as it was designed for xbox controllers so make sure you have some on stand by.
